Linda Rodin Stylist, Entrepreneur, and Muse

No one can ever be as cool as Linda Rodin. She has that 'X' factor we all are thriving to own, she looks like herself, dresses like herself, everything about this woman is authentic and organic!
A former fashion editor for Harper's Bazaar and freelance stylist for the likes of Madonna and Gisele Bundchen, she now turned entrepreneur after creating her skincare line Rodin Olio Lusso.

"I couldn’t find anything that I really liked out there. I work in the fashion business and I work with stylists—and I am a stylist—makeup artists, makeup, models, the best hair people, and I never found something that I really loved. So I decided to make it myself. I just put all the oils together that I like and I mixed it in a cup and here we are."

Linda clearly isn't slowing down... Just last year,  She landed an amazing stunt as the face of The Row's Pre-Fall 2014 collection. Not only is she a style icon of mine, she's living the life that I would want to live one day.

On her career:
"I wanted to be a fashion photographer. My sister said 'You don't really take good pictures, but you do get great clothes for the pictures. Maybe you should give up being a photographer.' So I decided to open up a clothing shop in 1979. It was called Linda Hopp and it was the first boutique in SoHo. I also designed clothes. That lasted for a year. The only real job I ever had was as an editor at Harper's Bazaar. But it wasn't for me. I left and went freelance over 20 years ago and I don't regret it."

On Personal Style:
"I’m going to be 67, and I still wear the same jeans. I like to feel comfortable; I like to feel close to myself, and I think that’s the way I’ve always dressed; I haven’t really changed. And I love clothes; I love beautiful clothes; I love fashion, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be on my body for me to appreciate it. I love to look at it, but it might not look good on me, so I’ll put on my Levi’s and a groovy sweater. My dog Winky is a boy, and he’s going to be 5 in January, and he’s the love of my life, and he’s just by my side all the time. He’s the sweetest thing in the whole world. He sleeps in my bed. He’s never away from me. When I wake up, he wakes up, and he follows me to the bathroom."

On her Diet:
"I'm 63 and older than some of those girls' mothers! I eat very healthy. I didn't eat meat for 40 years and then one day I got terrible vertigo. I got out of bed and fell flat on the floor. I was dizzy and nauseous. My acupuncturist said that I was too low in iron, so now I'll have a big steak once a month. Also, I have to walk for work. When people ask me what I do for exercise, I say: 'I run through Barneys."
