Style Icon – Gillian Jacobs in Love

I have a new style crush this week: my new spirit animal is Mickey (played by Gillian Jacobs) in Love, the new Netflix original series created by Judd Apatow, Lesley Arfin and Paul Rust. I started watching the show last weekend, and finished it in 2 days! It's so entertaining and real... It's about thirty-something hipsters in Los Angeles trying to find the meaning of life and love, and everything in between. 

As I was watching the show, I loved Mickey's wardrobe. Mickey wears one or two outfits per episode, sometimes just changing one aspect of it to adapt it to a different situation. In the first episode, she wears high-waisted Levi’s, the new Wedgie style, or perhaps vintage 501s, with a red bathing suit and clog wedges to go to a bar, then simply throws on a checked shirt and some Adidas pool slides to pop to the 7/11 in the morning. Stellar look!

 
As a date look, she wears an airy sequin dress. We see her in a simple denim vest as a top in the evening, with a touch of red lipstick.We also see her in overalls, a jersey top, short shorts, and a huge sweater... I love her hair and barely there makeup, very European, and very Jane Birkin.
